And the Winner of €2,000 of Web Design Work Is…

Winners

Paul Browne of FirstPartners.net! Using a sequence of numbers from Dublin-based Random.org, I put all the names in a spreadsheet and sorted by descending order. It’s funny that Paul ended-up on top as he’s the guy ultimately responsible for this whole thing. So well done Paul; you walk away with €2,000 of web design work and one of the ugly trophies pictured above.

Thanks to everyone that entered. I’d love to get a chance to work with every one of you some time. All those that put their name on the list will be offered a serious discount if you’re interested.

Finally, there are two non-profit, pro bono projects that entered that I’d like to help out too. One is tuppenceworth.ie, entered by Simon McGarr, the other is a project by IQ Content for the Red Door School, entered by Laurence Veale. Looking forward to working with you guys!

And now back to work…

  1. Fair play to you for the pro-bono work (and the competition too).

It’s great to see charities benefitting from the ability and kindness
    of those with great talent.

  2. I’d like to thank the academy ….

No seriously , I’ve never won anything in my life (apart from a Swimming competition when I was 8) , so I’m in complete shock at this one :-) The fact that I’ve got a couple of ideas incubating that need exactly what Eoghan is offering is making this even better.

So, Kudos to Eoghan for running this one; World domination through quirky yet cool visuals beckons!

    Paul

  3. Gratz Paul… enjoy it :)

  4. Well done Paul, -with great power comes great responsibility, use it wisely! :-)

Thanks for the competition Eoghan, hope to work with you sometime down the road.

    Cheers,
    Alan.

  5. Can we please see the report from the independent adjudicator?

On a serious note, if you’re doing some work for non-profits and they would like some SEO advice give me a shout.
I put a free offer for charities on my site many moons ago but the only charity to ever take me up was on the offer was Oxfam.

Anyhows, give me a shout if they want an SEO once-over.

    Rgds
    Richard

  6. Great competition, Congrats Paul…

  7. WOW! Thrills. I’m immensely grateful to you for your offer. I’ve had terrible trouble for the past year trying to find some way out of the morass of bad DIY table-based HTML that the whole original tuppenceworth site is trapped in.
Any help you could give (or, when helped that Richard would like to give) would be received with open arms.

email me and I’ll buy you a bun.

  8. Thanks for the offer, Richard. I’ll be in touch if needs be.

  9. Congratulations Paul!
