Ken Stanley and myself are holding the world’s first OpenBeer Club in Dublin on 28 April 2007. It all kicks off at 6PM in the Excise Bar, IFSC where we’ve got space booked for the evening. Ken has very kindly organised finger food for the night and I’m going to buy a beer for the first 20 people that get there too!
Are we just taking the piss out of OpenCoffee Club? Yes and no. I love the OpenCoffee Club concept created by Saul Klein. The first two Dublin events were great and there’ll be many more to come. But there are too many great people I’d love to have there that just can’t make it during the day. So me and Ken decided we’d have an after-hours / weekend, tongue-in-cheek, beer-fuelled version.
If you like talking about business and the web and want to meet others that share these interests (and have a laugh too), please come along. Share IT Dublin is on that day too. Hopefully speakers and attendees (I’ll be one of the latter) will call around to the OpenBeer Club afterwards. See you there!

Sorry Eoghan don’t think the family would be too happy if I cancelled going to my cousin’s wedding because there was a chance of free beer and some shop-talk! Hope it’s a sucess, and I’ll see you at the next one!
