AZMWD: A Resource for Web Designers

AZMWD

Last Thursday I delivered a disjointed barrage of buzzwords and jargon under the beautifully vague title of “An A-Z of Modern Web Design” for my part in the Digiweb Online Edge seminar. Instead of using slides, I spoke about some of the more interesting points on a list I compiled and published as AZMWD. My central thesis about “modern web design” is that it’s becoming less art and more science and that a web designer aspiring to be at the cutting edge of his or her profession should be aware of these ideas and use them in their work. I’ve also included a few technologies, sites and books in the list that I think are relevant. The details on each point are basic but the list is only a starting point to let people know what they don’t know! After that, Google’s your friend.
