Dublin’s first OpenCoffee Club will be held in The Morrison Hotel this Thursday, 1 March at 9AM. All are welcome. It’ll be a very casual affair; it’s basically a chance to chat face to face with some of the names you might know (or might not know) from around the Irish blogosphere. There will be no agenda or overriding theme to the event. Personally, I’ll be asking people what they’re working on now and what plans, business or otherwise, they have for the future. I’m really looking forward to meeting the guys who’ve put their name on the list. Please add yours if you’d like to join us, if only for a half an hour. I’ll probably be there from 9AM but turn up whenever you want.
Those that are coming, if you’d like to get a few more folks around tomorrow, feel free to publicize it on your blog. The reach of my blog is limited and most will miss this announcement. See you tomorrow!
Update: Vinny from useamap (who hopes to attend) showed me how to mark The Morrison on a handy map. Cool!

great stuff Eoghan, see you tomorrow then!
Well done on getting this off the ground Eoghan and looks like you’ll have a good turnout.
See you there, Eoghan
Hi Eoghan,
I’ll be there, but I’ll have to leave at 10 or so, I have to lecture at 11.
All the best,
Des
James: Thanks. There’s a good bunch signed-up and a few more I expect will turn-up to surprise us (special guests).
Arh, Lar, Des: See you there.
Will hopefully see everyone there tomorrow morning; will have to leave at about 9:35 for work though ;)
Hi Eoghan,
thanks a million for organising this morning, great to meet everyone,
Lar
Lar: Thanks for coming and for the coffee. We’ll have to do it again soon.
Cheers for organising that Eoghan, it was nice to meet up.
Hopefully we can meet up again for a bit longer.

Hi guys, cheers for the meeting this morning, it was great to meet you all. Hopefully this evolves into a frequent thing. Eoghan, fair play for organising this. Hope the studio space was OK?
Is here where we feedback about this? OpenCoffee Club. Good to see people about this morning. I like it … Will we see a repeat next week?
Why not set up an OpenCoffee Club blog, Eoghan?
Ken: Good idea except Saul Klein, the guy that invented the whole idea of OpenCoffee Clubs, is one step ahead. He’s got some stuff in the pipeline that would make a blog like that redundant.

[…] The first Dublin OpenCoffee Club was held last Thursday in The Morrison Hotel and was a great success. While we had nothing like the impressive crowds seen in London, a great bunch turned up to talk about all things web and business. I don’t suggest we publish a roll-call for every event, but those brave enough to show for the first occasion definitely deserve a mention: […]
