The stunt ends today and one of my subscribers will get €2,000 worth of web design work. If you’d like it, all you have to do is leave your name in the comments some time in the next 24 hours and I’ll put you in the draw. I’ll announce the winner with an update to this post. Good luck!
While I didn’t win the race, I did gain an extra 60 subscribers. But I’m not under any illusions; there’s nothing more appealing than free! While I’ve got you, I’d like to invite you to stick around because there’s lots to come in the next few months:
- Web Usability 101: A series of posts on the basics of web usability, followed by a crash-course at BarCamp Dublin. Find out why your site doesn’t work the way you’d like it and how to fix this.
- Web Design Inspiration: More from my series of sites with unconventional and inspiring designs.
- The launch of a brand new web app development group to build the next generation of Ireland’s web apps.
- The launch of a brand new niche web design company when Eoghan McCabe becomes ***** Web Design (name decided but to be announced) after I take on my first staff in April.
- The launch of yet another site redesign for ***** Web Design with 100% less radioactive (obnoxious) green.
- The launch of a range of mini apps for which I’ll be handing out free accounts to my readers.
- More Dublin OpenCoffee Clubs.
I’d love to have you around because it gets quite lonely here. Say you’ll stay. Please?
Update: The deadline has passed and all who commented before 10:29AM yesterday (6 March 2007) are in with a chance. I’ll announce the winner tonight.

I was here before the competition and I’m sure to stick around after… I’m really looking forward to your BarCamp talk as well. Please stick my name in the hat for a re-design, my site could sure use it!
And bizarrely, even though I didn’t like the radioactive green at the start, it’s really started to grow on me. And you got the grannymar seal of approval too, she appreciates text that she doesn’t need to squint at!! :-)
Sounds like a good deal!
